The Real Life Hunger Games
Survivor, Big Brother, American Idol, the list continues of reality "game" TV shows that are on the television today. The comparison of these shows to the Hunger Games to an easy comparison. The contestants on these reality shows are "fighting for their lives," although it is a very different concept than the contestants in the Hunger Games. On these shows the contestants fight for their careers, or for a cash prize that would change their lives, where as in the Hunger Games the contestants are literally fighting for their lives. It puts into perspective what is truly important to people in our society today, the fact that people view fighting for a singing career as their lives.

You make a valid point about what we truly think is important today in our lives. Ordinary people make a fool out of themselevs for money, but in hunger games they were places somewhere they did not want to be and forced to kill to stay alive. If alot moe people would read hunger games they may rethink about being on tv.
ReplyDeleteI agree with what you're saying. people who make a career out of going on reality tv shows are getting to be a little ridiculous. I think that everyone should read Hunger Games. It might a little light into everyone lives.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you people waste way too much of their time trying to make it big on stupid reality TV shows. Sad thing is, we give them enough motivation to do this becuase we idolize idiots like the people on Jersey Shore.
